PCC

The Parochial Church Council, or PCC, is the legal governing body of a parish church. The PCC is made up of members of clergy and lay members who are also the Trustees, with various charity law responsibilities.  Together the PCC is responsible for the care and upkeep of the buildings and movable objects and the finances and expenditure. The vicar and PCC have a duty of care to ensure the well-being of the vulnerable in the church community and must adopt the appropriate safeguarding policies and procedures. 

Together with the Vicar, the PCC also assists with promoting the mission of the church within the wider community. This includes pastoral, well-being, evangelistic, social and ecumenical.

The PCC meets once every two months on the second Monday of the month usually during January, March, May, July, September, November. Copies of the meeting minutes are available on request from the church office.
